Novel Reflection: Silence - Becca Fitzpatrick

First off I would like to start with the fact that I just figured out... THIS IS THE 3rd BOOK IN THE SERIES...which means I actually skipped a whole 2nd book! FLUFFERY!!! That seriously messed up my whole night, I just can't believe, what the fluff? Speechless.
Well, Nora Grey ends up in a cemetery with no memory of what happened the last five month. Bits and bits of her memory slowly comes together, but it's still all fuzzy. She finds out her mom is actually dating Hank Millar, father of her arch nemesis, Marcie Millar, but she's getting all kinds of creepy vibes from Hank suspecting he's hiding something big. She ends up meeting Patch (not remembering him, of course), for old guardian angel boyfriend, but all he tell her is he's just something she use to know and wants her to stay away from him and start a new life, and Nora wasn't going to give up, she plans on restoring all her memory. She also encounters Scott Parnell, her old friend since grade school. He starts fessing up and tells Nora what really happened the last five months, she found out Hank Millar is actually her real father, who's a Nephil (half-angel), the most powerful one ever, and that he was planning a whole army of Nephilims to attack the Fallen Angels and he was one of Hank's nephilim that had escaped. Hank kidnapped Nora to use Patch for information on the Fallen Angel and has erased her last-five-months memory to keep her in the dark about his plans. The more memory that she restored, the more it puts her in danger, danger between a war of Fallens and Nepilim to be exact.
I found myself really hooked on reading this, this was much better than Hush, Hush. I love the idea of Nora losing her memory. In this book, I understand and connected more to the characters, since they were more built up. Overall, it was brilliant, I enjoyed this so much. I loved it!

Novel Reflection: Hush,Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick

Nora Grey, ordinary, top-class, student has been best friends with Vee Sky all her life, and when the Biology teacher decides to change the seating arrangement,Nora finds herself stuck with Patch, extremely dark and mysterious, but hypnotizing. She finds herself mindlessly thinking and dreaming about him, she soon develops deep feelings for him despite the fact that he's very dangerous, Nora can't help it.
Aside from Patch, she has been stalked by a ski-masked guy, and he seems to want to kill Nora. As Nora and Patch's relationship begins to grow, she find out the disturbing truth about Patch, he is actually an angel, a Fallen Angel to be exact, he was cast out of heaven and during two weeks at the start of the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, Patch, a fallen angel takes over the body of a mixed-breed, Nephil by forcing them to swear an oath of fealty. Centuries ago, when Patch was cast down he chose a Nephil ,Chauncey, to possess his body and ever since then Patch has continuously taken Chauncey's body and made it his own very Cheshvan. Chauncey swore that he'll one day make Patch pay for what he did to him, since Chauncey figured out that Patch is in love with Nora, he was been stalking her and attempting to kill her to cause Patch to suffer. Nora also finds out shes the female descendant of Nephil, and if she sacrifices herself she might just be able to save both herself and Patch from Chauncey.

The plot was very unique, and the set up of the story was very well organized too. The characters however, reading Nora narrating the story was so annoying I cursing the girl for being so stupid at times. For example, she knows Patch is dangerous and he's dark and still time after time she trusts him and thinks about him mindlessly and when he admitted her about him attempting to kill her, she still stays calm and act like it's a very normal confession. What the FLUFF? I would've gone psycho! I had issues with the characters and how they were build up, other than that the story was great.

Novel Reflection: SpellBound - Care Lynn Shultz

This is one of my favorite books so far, so basically, Emma first meets Brendan and they immediately both felt a strong connection, she starts falling for him. She has weird things happening around her too, she has a friend in her new school, who claims she is a witch, that helps her unravel the mystery behind her and Brendan. They turn out to be long reincarnated lovers from past centuries. Brendan was a noble king and Emma was a peasant, they both fall strongly in love and they soon were married, but Brendan's marriage with Emma is considered a horrible mistake throughout the kingdom. Emma's pregnant and she falls ill, after she gives birth to the child, the kingdom is under attack. She orders a servant to carry her baby and flee the palace and she will follow after, meanwhile Brendan is away from the palace. While she makes her way out of the palace, she was cornered by knights, and they hunt her down, killing her and leaves her there to die. Brendan returns and he mourns over her death, he can't accept the fact that she's dead and find a witch to help bring her back, instead of bringing her back, the witch curses them with a tragic ending to their love story. For centuries, Emma and Brendan have been reincarnated and Emma suffers the same fate over and over, and in this life, they were determined to break the curse once and for all. (NOOO... Novel Reflection: Existence - Abbi Glines

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.
Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.
Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.
He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.
This booking is absolutely amazing, the concept of the story is so creative who would've thought of Death falling in love. Abbi Glines has created just lovable characters and to end it off, she leaves a GINORMOUS cliff-hanger. I can't wait to start on the second book of the trilogy, LOVE IT! <3

HOLLYWOOD - JoJo :]

This is one of the most meaningful songs I've ever came across, I absolutely love it. The song is so much better than lemonade on a summer's day (LOL...what?!), it's has a very true message if you listen closely to the lyrics. It's about HOLLYWOOD... (Obviously), and how the industry is always after the next new and fresh thing. It's a non-stopping cycle of forgetting & abandoning old stars, and just chasing to keep up with the new ideas & stars or what makes for money. Also about how all the money and fame will soon fade in time and your minute of fame will just be washed away by other new and young stars. Plus in the song, JoJo uses "A Man" as a metaphor for the industry... HOLLYWOOD. SHE IS AMAZING!
Le Forever JoJo Fan.
(P.S: The song has curse words! I know! Ms.Patrice will sooo TOAST MY BACON... o.O dead meat...still an AWESOME song though LOL) =]
